Know what's behind the fare.

Flight data and availability

Fares come from the Aviasales Data API through Travelpayouts: one-way economy fares for one adult that travelers found recently. They are leads for comparison, not live inventory or reservations. We show the date a fare was found when the provider gives it, and leave out fares whose known find date is more than seven days old. The provider may not have data for every route or month.

How routes are found

For a route from A to B, Dugg asks for one-ticket fares from A to B in your month. With separate tickets allowed, it also asks for nonstop fares out of A and nonstop fares into B, and pairs the cities that appear in both. If fares into B are unavailable, it asks the three cheapest first-stop cities for onward nonstops instead. For Anywhere, it looks one cheap hop out, preferring cities inside your chosen region. This search is bounded and cannot promise the cheapest possible route.

How routes are ranked

By the sum of the fares plus your own bag and night estimates, then by travel time when totals tie. Balanced adds $12 for every hour of travel; Fastest sorts by time. Estimates are yours, not quotes. Ground transport, visas and other costs can make a trip cost more.

Separate tickets

Two-ticket routes need the same connection airport and 6 to 48 hours between flights, measured with time zones. No airline protects that connection: if the first flight is late and you miss the second, the second airline does not have to rebook you. You usually pass through immigration at the connecting city. Confirm entry rules, airport access, bag rules and both prices before buying either ticket.

Deals

Deals are the cheapest one-way fare found to each city from your airport this month and next, refreshed at most hourly and shared by everyone searching from that airport.

Typed requests and AI

When you type a request, our own rules read the city, month, budget and travel style first. If the sentence says more than the rules can read (for example, "somewhere warm over spring break, leaving from Bellevue"), the text of the request is sent to Muse Spark 1.3 Contributor, an AI model by Meta, reached through OpenCode. It answers with search settings only, and we keep a setting only when it matches a city, region or month on our own lists. It never sees or writes a fare. Text sent to this model may be used by its provider to improve their models, so do not type personal details into the search box.

City photos

Photos of cities are real photographs from Wikimedia Commons, shown under their free licenses. Each photo's author and license are listed under "Photo credits" below the deals. A city without a suitable photo shows its airport code instead.

What we store

Your home airport stays in your browser's local storage until you clear it. There is no account and never ask for passport or payment details. Routes and months are sent to Travelpayouts to retrieve fares and cached on our server for up to 15 minutes (deals for up to an hour). A short-lived hash of your IP address limits automated abuse. Normal hosting logs may contain request metadata.

Pricing and bookings

Dugg Flights charges no search or booking fee and has no search limit. You book with an external provider under its terms. We may earn a referral commission when you book through our links to Aviasales. It is not added to your price and does not affect how routes are ranked. We do not issue tickets or manage refunds.
