Delete your account
What deletion does, what it doesn't, and how to do it.
What deletion removes
Account deletion is destructive and permanent. We wipe:
- Your profile (name, email, signature, settings).
- Every email, classification, label, and embedding tied to your account.
- Every AI-generated draft and chat message.
- Your style profile, edits, and learning signals.
- Your OAuth tokens (we also revoke them at the provider).
- Your billing record on our side; Stripe retains the legally required transaction history.
Across 14 internal tables. Nothing is soft-deleted — the records are gone.
Backups
Encrypted database backups are retained for 30 days for disaster recovery. Your data is permanently removed from those backups within 30 days of deletion.
What deletion doesn't do
- Doesn't delete email from Gmail. DUGGAI never deleted your mail to begin with — the original is still in Gmail.
- Doesn't cancel a Stripe subscription automatically. Cancel that separately from Settings → Billing before deleting.
- Doesn't purge transactional logs. Stripe and our infra providers keep transaction and request logs as required by law.
How to delete
- Go to /settings.
- Scroll to the Danger zone section at the bottom.
- Click Delete account.
- Type the confirmation phrase shown on screen.
- Confirm the second dialog. Deletion runs immediately.
If you're locked out
If you can't sign in to delete the account yourself (lost credentials, OAuth provider revoked), email support@duggai.comfrom the address on the account. We'll verify identity and process the deletion within 7 business days.
Data export
We don't offer a self-service export today. If you need a copy of your data before deleting (drafts, settings, learning signals), email support@duggai.comand we'll send a JSON bundle within 5 business days.
